Fluency Doesn't Just Happen Virtual Series

with Ann Elise Record

The Wisconsin Mathematics Council is excited to bring you five vitural sessions focused on developing fluency through meaningful strategies and number relationships. Throughout all sessions we will focus on the development of thinking from counting to additive and multiplicative reasoning as well as daily routines, games, and activities that can be implemented right away in your classroom.

Sessions are from 4:00 - 5:30 pm on October 22nd, November 18, January 6th, February 3, and March 3rd.

Join WMC for the 2025-2026 professional learning community on Building Thinking Classrooms in Mathematics!

Five virtual sessions will be held to help support the implementation of the BTC toolkits. Sessions are Sunday from 6:00 - 7:30 pm on August 24th, October 5th, November 16, February 1st, and  April 12th.

Cost: $25 for Educators and $15 for Undergraduate Teacher Candidates

Each May, WMC hosts an annual meeting to provide a review of our yearly activities. We also will say farewell to outgoing board members and introduce our new board members. WMC will host this meeting virtually in mid-May.

Each March you can engage your middle school or high school students in the WMC State Mathematics Contest. Wisconsin students can compete for individual and team honors at each school class level.
