Join WMC for a 2024-2025 professional learning community on Building Thinking Classrooms in Mathematics!
Five virtual sessions will be held to help support the implementation of the toolkits in Peter’s research. Sessions are Sunday from 6:00 - 7:30 pm on August 18th, October 6th, January 12th, March 2nd, and April 6th.
Join us for the WMC for the Fall MPES Conference focused on math modeling in grades PK-12.
The one-day conference will be in two different locations on November 7th in Eau Claire and November 19th in Milwaukee.
Join us for the WMC Annual Conference on May 7-9 at the Green Lake Conference Center. Over 150 grade-level and keynote sessions will be held on Wednesday May 7 and Thursday May 8. The WMC Leadership Conference will be held on Friday May 9.
Join WMC for a 2025 virtual book study on Becoming a Teacher of Mathematical Modeling
Engage with Drs. Erick Hofacker and Stephanie Bernander to begin your journey of becoming a teacher of math modeling. The book study will highlight the features of modeling and strategies for making modeling a part of your own classroom practices.
The virtual book study will take place on Wednesday Jan. 29, Feb. 12, and Feb. 26 from 6:30-8:00 pm.

Join WMC for a 2025 virtual book study on Bringing Project-Based Learning to Life in K-12 Mathematics
Engage with the author, Dr. Maggie McHugh, as you learn how to plan and implement a project in your math classroom.
The virtual book study will take place on Wednesday March 12, April 2, and April 23 from 7:00-8:30 pm.

This professional learning event will be a blend of virtual and in-person sessions from August 2024 to May 2025. Help us cultivate a robust network of leaders committed to advancing equity, high-quality math instruction, and positive leadership across the state.

Each March you can engage your middle school or high school students in the WMC State Mathematics Contest. Wisconsin students can compete for individual and team honors at each school class level.
WI Math CNECT (Community for New and Early Career Teachers) is designed to address questions and challenges of beginning K-12 mathematics teachers. Our mission is to support you as you navigate your first years of teaching.
Join WI Math CNECT Virtual Kick Off meeting on Monday, September 16th at 4:15 pm. All new and early career elementary, middle school, and high school teachers are invited to attend.
You may also join WI Math CNECT by completing this Google form with any teacher you may feel will benefit from joining the CNECT community! Updates can also be found on the CNECT website.
WI Math CNECT is a joint project of the Wisconsin Mathematics Council and the Wisconsin Association for Mathematics Teachers Educators.
Join WMC and WI MAA for their virtual Mathematics Bridge Project (MBP). This project was developed to share the great work in PK-16 mathematics and mathematics education in the state of Wisconsin. Join us virtually on the third Wednesday of each month (Sept. 25, Oct. 23, Jan. 22, and Feb 19) from 4:00 - 5:00 p.m. Topics will include math modeling, calculus and analysis, probability and actuary, and supporting diverse learners.
