Jane Howell Leadership Grant

The purpose of WMEF’s Jane Howell Leadership Grant is to provide Wisconsin math educators with funds to engage in professional development that enhances their leadership capacity. This grant was created through a donation from the Jane Howell family. Jane was a lifelong middle-school educator and past president of WMC who valued professional development and leadership.
WMEF awards grants of up to $1,000 for professional development activities that will advance the teaching and learning of mathematics across the State of Wisconsin and encourage mathematical leadership in the process. Educators are encouraged to apply for reimbursement of the cost of their professional development:
- To attend a workshop or conference with a focus on educational leadership or
- Other creative ideas which will advance the teaching, learning, and leadership capacity of the grant recipient
Applications are due by December 1st (for needs beginning January 1st) and July 1st (for needs beginning August 1st).
