WMC Mission
The mission of the Wisconsin Mathematics Council is to lead in the development of, advocate for, and promote quality mathematics education that enhances learning for all students.

WMC Vision
The Wisconsin Mathematics Council will have organizational structures and communication systems to provide leadership, services, and resources in support of quality mathematics education in Wisconsin.

WMC Goals
The WMC will collect; research and monitor information regarding but not restricted to the following:

  •  Curriculum
  •  Best Practices
  •  Learning Theory
  •  Legislative trends
  •  Work of allied organizations
  •  Educational Technology
  •  Membership view points
  •  Demographics including diverse student populations

The WMC will evaluate information, define positions, and structure appropriate action that will support quality mathematics education.

The WMC will provide quality staff development, communicate its positions, and network with its members.

The WMC will review its existing practices and governance and initiate changes to meet its mission.

A mission statement expresses why WMC exists and its purpose.

A vision statement expresses the directions WMC plans to move in the future

Goals describe more precisely how WMC will meet its mission and vision.
