The organization strives to help its members improve their professional effectiveness and their mathematical skills through a variety of programs and publications.
Professional Development
Members enjoy substantial discounts on registration fees for our Annual Conference in Green Lake as well as one-day workshops held throughout the state. The Annual Conference is a two-day event held in the first week in May and includes over 150 presentations for grades PK-16.
Publications
Through our newsletter, web site and journal, The Wisconsin Teacher of Mathematics the Wisconsin Mathematics Council keeps members updated on changes, new ideas, issues and events in mathematics education.
Recognition
Each year the Wisconsin Mathematics Council recognizes excellence and dedication to the profession with the Distinguished Mathematics Educator Award and our 25-Year Awards.
Student Activities
Through a number of scholarship and mathematics competitions, the Wisconsin Mathematics Council provides opportunities for its members to encourage and stimulate student achievement and confidence in learning mathematics.
Networking
Members of the Wisconsin Mathematics Council comprise a dynamic network of teachers, educators and other professionals dedicated to improving the teaching and learning of mathematics.
