Come learn about the attributes of mathematical modeling as highlighted inthe Wisconsin Standards for Mathematics (2021)and engage in grade bandexperiences in order to connect mathematical modeling to your owneducational setting.
Event 2: Creating Modeling Tasks on February 21, 2022
Using the lens of the modeling process, you will learn how to construct andmake-over modeling tasks that can be readily used in the classroom.
Event 3: A Celebration of Modeling in the Classroom on March 21, 2022
During this session, you will learn from and collaborate with grade-leveleducators who have successfully implemented mathematical modeling intotheir classroom.
Time: 4 p.m.- 5:30 p.m. on each date
Cost: The registration cost is $50 for the entire series. Undergraduate students can register for free.
Location: Virtual via Zoom (the virtual link will be emailed at least a day before each event)
Audience: PK-12 educators supporting the student learning of mathematics, higher ed faculty, and teacher candidates
