The Wisconsin Mathematics Education Foundation awards grants of up to $2,000 each to provide financial assistance to Wisconsin PK-16 educators of color who support the learning of mathematics. 

The purpose of the Jane Howell Grants for Educators of Color is to advance the teaching and learning of mathematics in Wisconsin. Grants are awarded in one of the following areas.

  • Supporting Affinity Spaces for Math Teachers of Color
  • Providing Support for Attending Workshops or Conferences

This grant was created in 2021 through a donation of the Jane Howell family. Jane was a lifelong middle-school educator who valued professional development and diversity.

Applications are accepted and reviewed at any time throughout the year in the order in which they are received.
